Health & Dental for Individuals

Take control of your health!

Many recognize the value of preventative health maintenance as an aid to staying healthy and pain free. Alternative health care treatments are quickly gaining in acceptance and desirability. Homeopathy, naturopathy and acupuncture are areas that are being chosen to develop better health. After an injury, rehabilitative care which may include physiotherapy, massage or chiropractic, can mean the difference between total recovery and future disability.

An extended health benefit plan specifically tailored to your needs can provide generous coverage for registered specialists, prescription drugs, travel emergencies, accidental death and dismemberment and more. Your provincial plan doesn’t cover any of this!

Private health & dental insurance is available to any individual although there are some factors that may affect which type of plan is available to you. If you are self-employed, please see our Health & Dental for Businesses page.

It is the patient’s responsibility to pay for any amount over that listed on the Schedule of approved billing prices for practitioners. Some plans provide an electronic billing service whereby the health or dental provider submits your bill directly to the insurer. This allows for immediate verification of your claim and expedites your reimbursement.
